Tips for Writers

Details

Author Portrait

People often ask me for writing tips, or hints about marketing their work. A few of my tips were included in a book, Writing, etc., produced by the Colorado Authors’ League, published by Ghost Road Press in 2006. From time to time, I will share some hints and tips with you here, while I, too, continue to learn about my craft.

“All the best research methods I know come from genealogy. For instance, what better place to visit for inspiration than a cemetery with all those names and dates close at hand. Also, most every person leaves a trail of paper during his or her lifetime. If documents exist, and if the researcher can locate and gain access to them, then he or she can effectively evaluate and extract the data. -- Joyce B. Lohse, author, Centennial”
